The Barney Peterson Nature Trail is an excellent spot for observing wildlife, including songbirds and white-tailed deer.
  2. Getting out on the water is by far one of the best things to do in Okoboji. The clear blue waters of West Okoboji are the highlight of a visit to Gull Point State Park. Launch your kayaks or canoes, stroll along the beach, and find some of the best fishing for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, white bass, perch, and more.

  3. Kenue Park is a 70-acre hidden gem in Okoboji. It’s home to the Dickinson County Nature Center and offers visitors walking trails and an 18-hole professional-level Okoboji Gold Disc Golf Course.
  4. Pikes Point State Park is known as one of the best swimming areas on West Okoboji Lake. Pikes Point is a peaceful place to dip your toes in the crisp blue waters.
